Climb the mountains and get their good tidings.  Nature’s peace will flow into you as sunshine flows into trees.               The winds will blow their own freshness into you, and the storms their energy,                                                                                             while cares will drop off like autumn leaves.

 ~John Muir

Nature’s peace is something you cannot put a price on…at least that is what I thought. My little town is putting a price on nature’s peace…they are considering re-designation a beautiful green lakeshore land parcel and trading it off so it can be turned into a  residential area….let’s sell to developers and let them build a CONDO ???

This has me , my husband and tons of others wondering why?  Is it money that is driving this very bad decision???  Is it someone with power pushing someone without??  We are having difficulty understanding why anyone, let alone a small town, give away a precious gift to someone who plans on turning it into something else and then leaving??   In this case the wants of the few seem to be more important than the wants of the masses.

Look at the trees, look at the birds, look at the clouds, look at the stars… and if you have eyes you will be able to see that the whole existence is joyful.  Everything is simply happy.  Trees are happy for no reason; they are not going to become prime ministers or presidents and they are not going to become rich and they will never have any bank balance.  Look at the flowers – for no reason.  It is simply unbelievable how happy flowers are.  ~Osho

Decisions have not yet been made …but  unless the winds change drastically, the leaves seem to be going in only one direction and it is not a good one.

Now I have no idea if I have made any sense at all tonight…but it is late and I am very tired. Maybe tomorrow I can make sense of it all. but for now it is bed and one pair of slippers…..
